There’s no doubt about it: summer is officially here. With the sun staying up a bit longer, it’s the perfect excuse to get together with family, friends and neighbors. Who doesn’t like a reason to have a little bit of fun?
DecoratorsBest was recently mentioned on party planner Kimberly Schlegel Whitman’s blog as a source for her DIY Margarita Bar. Whitman says that for summertime entertaining, she loves setting up do-it-yourself elements for her guests. “It gives guests a chance to get in on the action and make their own custom creation exactly the way they like,” Kimberly said. Might we add: it also gives the host the opportunity to put together a vignette as beautiful as the one featured here!
For the tablecloth in her fabulous garden soiree set up, she used the very suiting Citrus Garden fabric by Schumacher. This fabric features whimsical, colorful and personality-filled botanical motifs. Based on archival patterns designed by mid-century architect Josef Frank, the fabric combines Bauhaus principles, inimitable charm and a hand-drawn sensibility. In other words? It’s gorgeous, has a rich history behind it, and is absolutely perfect for summertime!
Best of all, the fabric comes in two colorways: primary, “a riotous blend of crayon hues” and pool, “a cool marriage of blue and green tones.” Both equally as fantastic, and sure to make a statement in any application!
We absolutely adore how well Kimberly’s accouterments play off the colors within the fabric itself, especially the perfectly paired fruit, flowers and juices! We could definitely go for a margarita right about now.
A big thanks to Kimberly Schlegel Whitman for linking to us on her blog – We’re always pleased to see great fabric used in creative ways! Thanks again!
